Assistant Store Manager at Coop Varvet in Luleå

Coop is in an exciting phase of development and we are now looking for an assistant store manager for our Coop Varvet store in Luleå.

Customers in our stores should be greeted with quality products at good prices, culinary inspiration, interesting events, surprises, and a personal touch from all our staff. True success is built on our love for our jobs and genuine care and joy for our customers!

As an assistant store manager, you will share responsibility for all aspects of the store with the store manager and primarily coach the sales staff in their daily work. Does this sound like an interesting challenge? If so, please indicate in your application why this role suits you.

Your Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as an assistant store manager also include working with the store manager to:

• Create the best customer experience by actively and daily working on customer interactions in dialogue with colleagues
• Be an engaged member of the store's management team
• Take responsibility for continuous development and improvement work in the store – with the help of operational planning & store efficiency programs
• Monitor sales and key performance indicators and work to involve all employees
• Plan sales and follow up together with department managers
• Contribute to good collaboration within the team and work with feedback

The position also includes all regular tasks for sales staff in the store such as sales, restocking, merchandising, and cashier work. We are open when our customers want to shop, so working hours may vary – day, evening, and weekend.

The position is permanent and full-time. Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Qualifications

• Experience and competence in food retailing is an advantage
• Multilingual and experience/interest in different cultures is an advantage
• Basic leadership training or leadership experience is an advantage
